I’m Kara Southwick.

I was raised in Southern Utah, but life brought my family up to the Greater Park City and Kamas area — and I’ve completely fallen in love with living here. It’s the perfect mix of small-town charm, mountain beauty, and a strong sense of community.

I’m three years into real estate and haven’t looked back since. From the very beginning, I knew it was the right fit for me. I paid close attention to other agents and transactions, learned quickly, and saw how much I could grow — and succeed — by doing things differently, and doing them well. That drive led me to co-found The Empire Group, my own small real estate company, with two incredible business partners.

In my free time, I love trying new things, exploring, and creating adventures with my family. We’re usually outside wandering around and finding cool places together. I have a beautiful angel baby who left us earthside in 2024, and she has whole heartedly shaped who I am today. I also have a dachshund and a German Shepherd who I love with my whole heart. And every now and then, I like to bake something.

Before diving into real estate, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and built a strong background in marketing, graphic design, and photography. I’ve always been a creative at heart, and that creativity still shines through in my work today — whether I’m staging and marketing a home or crafting a strategy that helps my clients stand out.

I believe in doing things right and doing them well. In this business, there’s a short window where everything matters — and I show up fully for every second of it.

Whether I’m listing your home or helping you buy one, I give it everything I’ve got. From strategy and marketing to showings and negotiations, I bring 100% of my energy, creativity, and soul into every deal. I treat every client like family, and I take a lot of pride in the care and quality I bring to the table.
